Admit
One must come to the realization and admit that they are a sinner before a holy and righteous God. Because of our sin we are separated from Him.

(Romans 3:10) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
(Romans 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Believe
Believe that Jesus, God in the flesh, laid down His life for you at the Cross of Calvary, was buried, and three days later rose from the grave.
(John 3:16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

(Romans 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Confess
With a hearts cry confess to God that you are a sinner and that you are sorry. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sin and invite Him to come into your heart to be your Savior.
Salvation comes by placing all of your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

​(Romans 10:9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

(John 14:6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
